Do I Need Insulation for My Garage Door?

Sectional insulated garage door

Our range of sectional garage doors from Garador are available in single steel skin or 42mm double skin with polyurethane insulation. Both types of door have the same excellent security and safety features – so when should you opt for the insulated version?

Is the rest of your garage insulated?

We’re not in the business of upselling. We want to make sure that you get the right garage door for your purposes. If the rest of your garage is uninsulated and you have no plans to insulate it, there is no point having an insulated door as the heat will be escaping through the walls and roof. When a customer has chosen a sectional door for their uninsulated garage, we will recommend that they install the single skin version.

What do you use your garage for?

If you have an insulated garage and you use it regularly for work or leisure – then an insulated garage door filled with CFC-free polyurethane foam is the best choice. These premium doors have an exceptional U-Value when installed behind the garage aperture pillars. In addition to this, Garador’s exclusive thermal frame option provides up to 15% improved insulation.
