Secured by Design

Created in 1989, “Secured by Design” is the brand name of an initiative pioneered by the police to recognise the importance of high quality security in design for commercial and private properties. The Secured by Design scheme works with the industry to maintain high standards, testing products and offering assurances to customers so they know the goods they have purchased are guaranteed to offer them security and protection.

Garador Guardian Range

Automated Garage Doors are proud to be an approved Garador supplier. One of the leading garage door manufacturers, Garador’s range includes their Guardian doors which are approved under the Secured by Design scheme. This means they are recommended by the Association of Chief Police Officers to ensure that they can withstand a break-in by a burglar. The doors are available in a choice of three styles and any one of seven standard colours. Additional security features include:

• Galvanised Steel Frame: Included as standard with all Secured by Design doors and easy to install. Adding strength, security and stability to your door.
  
• Lock Body Protection: The reinforcing plate on the lock body acts to protect against attacks on the locking mechanism of your door.
  
• High Security Bracing: Whereas traditional garage doors feature only two braces on the back of the door, Secured by Design doors include eight.
  
• Improved Lock Security: Secured by Design doors feature extra steel plates in the base corners of your door, helping to protect the bottom locking system.
